Marko Polo is a vintage quality wine which is obtained by the dazzle of the two grape varieties Merlot en Plavac mali. Both of these grape varieties are both grown on the Croatian island Korcula.
The Plavac variety is an autochotone grape variety and characterizes the red wine varieties of the island Korcula. The ideal ratio for the mix of red wines is supervised by one oenologist.
The Marko Polo wine has a beautiful dark red color, ruby red hues on the edges and is fuller in taste. This wine is harmonious and very elegant. The best features of this Marko Polo wine come to the fore at a temperature between 16 and 18 C.
This wine is ideal for dishes with a fatty flavour screw, meat dishes and spicy dishes because it complements rather than undermines the specific characteristics of these dishes.
This wine is named after the explorer Marco Polo (Croatian Marko Polo). Marco Polo was born on the Croatian island Korcula in what was then Venice.

Delicious balance, fruity, great with potatoes, hearty soup, but I personally like it best in the evening sun. Aroma of cherries, forest fruits.

good balance between the merlot and plavac mali

good wine, a blend of merlot and plavac mali, but my preference is for a pure grape variety, wine is also good and delicious to drink
